Pyramid design & drafting was established in 1995 by Darrell Grima, who is the Principal Designer. Darrell has worked in the Building Industry since 1987 as a Building Designer and Architectural draftsperson with distinction.
The business is based in the Sydney Metropolitan area and provides Building Design and Architectural Drafting Services for clients throughout Sydney and into regional New South Wales. We specialise in quality residential design and can hand craft a new home to meet your personal requirements.
The use of 3D CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) Software gives Pyramid design & drafting a distinct advantage in Building Design. Drawing concepts can be better developed and manipulated and drawing accuracy is of a high standard. 3D CAD Drawings present much better and are easier to read and understand. They allow you to see images of your home in true perspective and colour and watch the design come to life.
Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, Darrell has gained ideas and creative influences that contribute positively to the work that he is passionate about. Darrell has gained a Distinction in Photography studies which also contributes to the creative composition and presentation of his designs.
Darrell treats every project with integrity and as a skilled and hard working “Artisan”, with each Architectural drawing being “Hand Crafted” with an eye for “Beauty and Quality”. The “Design” phase is the Most Important part of the entire building process.

An emphasis should be made on making efficient use of the space within a building and maximising internal storage areas. The heart of the home – the Kitchen needs to be functional in its layout and flow openly into informal dining areas and indoor/outdoor living spaces. A building should be cost effective in its design and economical in its construction and ongoing maintenance.
